The Wild Atlantic Way is a 2,500 km (1,553 miles) tourism trail along Ireland's rugged west coast. It features world-famous sights such as the Cliffs of Moher and Loop Head (both short drives from your Beds of Silk base).

The route has 157 discovery points in total, with more than 1,000 varied attractions and over 2,500 activities. Passing through nine counties and three provinces in total, the WAW stretches from County Donegal's Inishowen Peninsula in north Ulster all the way to Kinsale, County Cork, in Munster, on the Celtic Sea coast. The route is broken down into 5 sections:
  • County Donegal
  • County Donegal to County Mayo
  • County Mayo to County Clare
  • County Clare to County Kerry
  • County Kerry to County Cork

From your base in Labasheeda, County Clare, you are perfectly situated to take advantage of the incredible scenery on offer on two of the sections: to the south and across the Killimer-Tarbert Ferry lie the splendours of County Kerry, while to the north and west are all of Clare, Galway and Mayo's best natural spectacles.
